A man wanted out of Las Vegas was arrested Wednesday by Lebanon Police after discovery of a stolen license plate.
License plate readers alerted officers to a red Jeep Grand Cherokee displaying a tag stolen out of Missouri. Officers located the vehicle at the Pilot Truck Stop on South Cumberland Street.
During the investigation, police discovered the driver, Billy Henderson, 63, had a warrant out of Las Vegas, Nevada, for forgery, burglary with intent to commit a felony and attempted theft.
Henderson was arrested without incident and charged with theft, drug possession and drug paraphernalia possession.
LPD credits the license plate reader technology for its assistance in tracking down the suspect鈥檚 vehicle.
